Visit Essex launched their latest staycation campaign, ‘This is Essex’.
The campaign invites visitors to explore a wide range of things to see and do and places to stay in Essex. The promotion also aims to change people’s perceptions of the county.
Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Heritage at Essex County Council, Councillor Jeff Bray said: “Essex is a county of many contrasts. Whether you are looking for family fun by the coast, or a quiet walk by saltmarshes, there really is something for everyone. There are top tourist attractions from Clacton Pier to Colchester Zoological Society. Plus, natural wonders, such as seal spotting or tranquil glamping breaks.
“We also have a bountiful food and drink scene, so whether you’re looking for a glass of fine wine in a vineyard or an ice cream by the sea, Essex has it all.”
He continued: “This campaign is also about challenging perceptions and showing people, real Essex. We’re keen to welcome people to a vibrant, diverse and welcoming county, full of off-the-beaten track destinations and iconic attractions.”
The ‘This is Essex’ promotion asks visitors, ‘Which Essex will you choose?’
From thrilling rides at Adventure Island to the wild salt marshes of Tollesbury. Plus, the ancient history of Colchester Castle to the cutting-edge exhibitions at Firstsite. The campaign uses bold visual images to present Essex as a county rich in choice, character and unexpected experiences.
The campaign is designed to appeal to families, young couples and retirees.
