Las Iguanas is a chain of restaurants, passionate about sharing the authentic flavour and spirit of Latin America.
The brief: “We’re about to launch a new restaurant at Lakeside Essex and have plans to roll out more outlets across the county. We need a creative and hardworking agency with great local contacts to help us spread the Latin vibe!”
Implementation
A launch party was set up to attract 850 people to spread the word about Las Iguanas. A troupe of salsa dancers and a Latin American band were hired to deliver the Latin spirit. Chefs created a special tasting menu, and a mixologist offered cocktail making sessions for VIPs.
Big Wave PR also managed the invitation list, distribution and door. A series of restaurant reviews were also set up with atmospheric photography to bring the Latin spirit alive. Influencers gained an exclusive look around the restaurant’s amazing interiors, and took small group cookery lessons and cocktail sessions.
As Las Iguanas thrived, Big Wave PR was also contracted to launch restaurants in Braintree, Chelmsford and also a mini re-launch at Lakeside!
Impact
Party-goers have queued around the block to attend our opening nights and preview influencer nights at Las Iguanas.
850 people enjoyed the first opening party, but hundreds more have shared the Latin vibe with the best mix of the finest cocktails, food, dancers and the sounds of Latin America.
Each restaurant has gained rave reviews and has become the heart of their communities. We’ve enabled word of mouth to spread quickly, helping to position Las Iguanas as one of the most popular restaurant chains in the UK.
